Four months ago, we were getting ready to go live with the new SPD Blogger Network site.
This site was Hartley Steiner’s dream. She wanted a place where parents of children with sensory processing disorder could share their stories – their triumphs and struggles – with other parents. She wanted one place where moms, dads and caregivers could come together to talk about their success and disappointments. One place for us all to feel like we weren’t alone.
In these four months, we’ve grown into an amazing community with over 500 registered contributors from all over the world. We’ve published 190 posts from moms and dads of children with SPD with over 1600 comments on these fantastic stories. Our Facebook page has over 700 fans now, and we have 1000+ followers on Twitter. It’s incredible!
Thank you to all of you who have helped us create this supportive and caring community. It is because of you that our site continues to grow on a daily basis.
As a result of that growth, we are excited to announce that we have added three new members to our SPD Blogger Network team!
Welcome Cat Dymond, Karla Fitch, and Kristin Wentz-Krumwiede!
Cat and Karla join us as our new Review Editors. They will be working with companies and our amazing reviewers to put together great new giveaways for all of our readers. Kristin is our new Community Outreach Director, responsible for connecting with the SPD community at large : reaching out to them to help bring them into our network here.
All three women are mothers of children with SPD. All three are dedicated to spreading SPD awareness. All three are dedicated to helping make our site the best that it can be.
You can read more about them at our SPDBN Team page at http://www.spdbloggernetwork.com/spdbn-team/
We are so excited to have them working with us! Thank you Cat, Karla and Kristin for joining us here!
And thank YOU to all of you who have helped us get to this place. We could not have done it without our dedicated contributors and our amazing readers.
Hartley and Alysia
