  • Lena Baron
Lena lives in a little town on the north corner of Arizona that is very reminiscent of Radiator Springs from the movie CARS. A city-girl, gone happily- country. Lena is happily married to the Love of her life and they have been blessed with three sons ages 8, 4, and 2. They also have twin daughters who are very much a part of their lives, though they passed away soon after birth and are now considered their angels cheering them on to be the best they can be. All three of Lena's sons have been diagnosed with SPD with more seeking tenancies then not. Which makes for a very lively and active household. In her previous life, Lena was a Professional Nanny working around the country mostly in Boston, Chicago, and the most favored Hawaii, where she met her Knight in Shining Armor (actually working as a Massage Therapist on the beach at the time;) Lena also created and directed a Nanny Agency that became a successful national nanny agency before she sold it in order to be a full time wife and mother. Currently, Lena cares for her three children full time in their home while her husband lives 4 hours away attending nursing school. There is rarely a dull moment in Lena's life and if there is, most likely she will try to lighten things up a bit with a good book and some fine Chocolate.
  • Lindsay Bartholomew
My name is Lindsay, I am a late 20's something single mom to one little Princess. Keeping Emma healthy, regulated and happy are my number one goal. Our days are full of school, OT, PT, Swimming Lessons and socialization. Somehow I manage to find time to run a photography business and work part time at a drug rehab for moms. Right now we are both taking everyday a day at a time. It's a crazy life but I wouldn't change it. **My blog has been set to private due to some hateful comments I started receiving from my ex-husband and his fiance. Send an email to lindsaybartholomew26@gmail.com if you want to check it out! We would love to have ya! :)

I'm a mom of 2 very active (understatement of the year!!!) boys that are 7 and 3. My oldest was diagnosed with SPD 2010 and my youngest is on the spectrum for SPD, but due to his young age, he has not been completely diagnosed plus they think he may actually have learned behavior and not SPD only time will freaking tell. As a family, we are always looking for ways to make The Boys have happy days filled with as little issues as possible. As parents, my husband and I are on constant defense against the rest of the world. From noise and temperature changes to people that think we "just aren't disciplining them enough or at all." People can be cruel, but they can also be understanding . It's a constant battle and I'm trying my best to just Keep Up!

  • DaCreaturesMama
EMAIL ADDY FOR THE 5/12 post: csb4sryc@comcast.net. I am DaCreaturesMama. He will be eight years old come May 2012. I have grown to madly, deeply, with increasing vehemence, hate acronyms. How about you? We are awash in OT, PT, SPD, IEP's, so we do TKD, TLS, and utter a fair amount of deliberately toned down OMG's every day. Da Creature is an LOL, FWIW, IMNSHO, bundle of chaos and humor, and though I wouldn't trade him for ALL the tea in China (yes, da Creature, there is probably an exact amount of tea in China, but no, Mama has no idea how much, I was just trying to tell the nice people---no, I doubt there's just four boxes of tea---but that's not the point....) What was I saying? I no longer remember. Story of my life, eh?

I am the mom of 2 boys. My oldest son has been diagnosed with SPD, PDD-NOS and Anxiety Disorder. He attends occupational therapy and sees a pediatric psychologist. My youngest son has some sensory concerns but they do not interfere with his daily life. I write about our lives - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I share what we are going through in the hopes of someone gaining knowledge from our experiences. I blog regularly at Brotherly Love http://brotherlyloveejkp.worpress.com

MSAHM of 2, one girl and one boy...we live in Howard County Maryland and we have recently been introduced to SPD in July 2011 so my goal is to learn all I can about it in order to help my son. I do believe I have a wealth of options in the county I live in, but being informed is always a plus since I know that I am my son's only "real" advocate!
