Mama PantsI am a mama of 2. My three year old son is on track for an SPD and OCD diagnosis and receiving occupational therapy. The OT is specifically for low registration and vestibular input. He is the absolute definition of a seeker. He has a severe speech and communication delay and attends an integrated pre-school program twice a week where he sees a SLP and OT. All that said, he is the coolest little dude I have ever met. My daughter is 20 months old and amazingly chubby and happy and calm. Which makes her the odd ball in this family ;). I love my kids endlessly and strive to be a mama they will be proud of. On my blog, The Family Pants, I strive to be honest. Life is funny, even when it's infuriating. I write about my life raising my little humans. I tend to be a bit sarcastic and silly. It makes life more fun. Come find me on Facebook and Twitter too!

juliet7105I am a mother of two sons, a 6 year old ASD NOS, possible SPD, and a 3 year without any diagnosis at present. We are going the route of homeschooling, since in our area, there is really not a curriculum, or the resources that fit my son's needs. My parents live with us, and my mother who keeps my boys during the day, is homeschooling my oldest son. She too in on the spectrum, with mild Aspergers.

tigercindyMom of five (??!!) kiddos right now. Became a mom through foster and adoption four years ago and added four kids in the course of the past year. When our oldest (now 4) was 18 months I was introduced to the words Sensory Processing Disorder and life hasn't been the same since. Now we are learning how SPD affects several different kids in our house. I never thought I was capable of being a mom to special needs kids, and I still don't, but with a lot of help and a lot of prayer, we are walking this road.

JenI am Jen, mom to Katie, 7, and Ben 4. Katie is diagnosed with PDDNOS and has sensory issues related to her diagnosis. She is an incredibly smart, sassy, gorgeous child who I love to bit. Ben is my wild child boy who, thus far, is NT. He talks non-stop all day long and definitely keeps us on our toes. I love with my off-the-boat German husband in a small New England town. timtuckerTim Tucker writes and manages Both Hands and a Flashlight, his family’s online chronicles of parenting, autism, and the pursuit of being awesome. He has been blogging about autism parenting since his son, Jonas, was diagnosed in 2008. He is also the author of I Am An Autism Parent, available October 2012. Tim is making I Am An Autism Parent available as a free e-book to help parents receiving an autism diagnosis for their child adjust to the challenges of autism parenting and to inspire all autism parents to embrace their own strength, skills, and identity. An excerpt of the book, called The Autism Parents Vow, is currently available as a free download on the I Am An Autism Parent web site (http://www.iamanautismparent.com). Tim lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his lovely and winsome wife, Mary, and their two amazing children, Jonas and Eli. He is an avid runner who has completed two marathons, both in Jonas’s honor on the anniversary of his diagnosis. You can find him on Facebook on both the I Am An Autism Parent (http://www.facebook.com/IAmAnAutismParent) and Both Hands and a Flashlight (http://www.facebook.com/BothHandsAndAFlashlight) pages as well as on Twitter as @autismparents.

TasiaBHi there, I am a mother to a very sensational daughter! She is my first and only child (so far!). She is 4 years old, but has been through more already than a lot of people will experience in a lifetime. In addition to having Sensory Processing Disorder, she also suffers from a life-threatening heart condition, a seizure disorder, developmental dyspraxia, and more. Despite all of this, she is bursting with life and joy! Our family is head-over-heels in love with this girl, and watching her grow is truly inspiring!
