RusnbugMommaI am a single mom in Richmond, VA. I adopted my daughter, Buggie, internationally at 18 months of age. She was diagnosed with SPD a year later. She is now 3 1/2 yrs old, is now in OT, PT, and is currently also in play therapy too! Last month she was also diagnosed with ADHD (we knew that!) Every day is a challenge, a learning experience, and a new chance to "see" into her world! She will always see the world a little differently, which if you think about it, is pretty wonderful! But surviving is also the challenge!

EmberA SAHM of two special needs boys. DW (6yrs old) has Tourette Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, SPD, generalized anxiety disorder, etc. JD (3yrs old) has auditory processing problems, mild speech delay, motor delays and SPD too. Both have food protein intolerances, as well as food allergies and sensitivities. Neither of the boys' SPD is similar, so I am back to the drawing board and starting out as a SPD newbie again! So, life is never boring in this house!

Erin WarkentinI am a mom to 3 children, 2 of them have disabilities. My oldest son was born missing some bones in his arms and my baby girl has SPD. I'm pretty used to odd stares, strange comments and LOTS of questions, but I don't mind, it's all part of the gig. I'm currently writing a book about my experiences and I love to be open and honest about them on my blog: www.erinwarkentin.com. When I'm not being a mommy, I love DIY and craft projects, throwing fun parties and dancing like a crazy person in my livingroom.

shywatzI am a Stay at Home Mom. I have a 23 yr old and an almost 3 yr old. One went to college the other showed up on our doorstep. I wouldn't pray for my 3 yo (spd) child's' life to be different but I pray I am the mom he needs me to be.

ObstacleCourseMomMy name is Margaret and I'm the mother of a 7 year old late-talking, high-functioning autistic son. I was also a kindergarten and third grade teacher. After being frustrated by not knowing what my non-verbal son knew, I created a way to find out. I now use my website and blog to show other parents ideas and activities to engage, encourage and empower their children at home!

CharI am a working mom of two wonderful kids and wife of a wonderful man. We live in the burbs of metro Detroit, Michigan. My daughter is approaching the teens years and we are not ready for it! She is smart, athletic and funny! My son is a smart, fun kid who loves games and his family! He is diagnosed with SPD and falls into the gray areas of ASD, anxiety, NVLD, etc. It can be frustrating not having a recognized diagnosis because we have a hard time getting services he needs. He participates in OT which has changed our world!

rachel whitei am a wife and stay-at-home mama to two incredible boys. harrison (5.5 yrs) struggles with mild sensory issues, specifically with modulation and sensory over-responsivity. he will be starting occupational therapy soon. graham (4 yrs), aside from needing a ton of movement, is pretty typical. both our sweet boys keep me busy, make me laugh, make me worry, and keep me guessing! blogging has become my own therapy as we journey down the road of spd diagnosis and prognosis. you can read more about our family's daily adventures on my personal blog whatsupatthewhitehouse.blogspot.com. thank you for reading!
