I am a seeker with all my heart, seeking that which I know, is seeking me. Please use my stories as a mirror. I am a mother who has been gifted with the most beautiful child. A child who has helped me get back to who I really am: LOVE.

I am a few weeks from having a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Integrative Health/Mental Health Advanced Practice. I am the mom of two amazing kids, one who is on the Autism Spectrum. I love working with families while facing adversity, such as mental illness, recovering from trauma, developmental disabilities, poverty, etc. I work from a strengths based, holistic approach that builds on the family's cultural ties, traditions, and inter and intrapersonal communication to help them better meet each other's needs.

As a full-time working mom of two, life is busy! I love my two little tadpoles with all my heart, and the journey of watching them learning and growing and taking their first hops has been phenomenal. Now that my 6 year old daughter has been diagnosed with SPD and dyspraxia, I have so much more to discover. Time will tell whether her 18 month old brother follows in her sensory footsteps, or swims his own stroke. I join this community with gratitude, and with the hope that as awareness grows, our little ones will find acceptance!

I am a stay at home mom to four kids with a background in journalism. Two of my kids have sensory issues (one also has autism). My husband has sensory issues as well. I am chronicling our experience with autism on my blog, but SPD is such a large part of our life and affects so many aspects from my son's extreme picky eating to my daughter's motor planning and all the way to my husband's sound and smell sensitivities.

I am a mother of twin boys, age 7. Both were diagnosed with SPD'S almost 2 yrs. ago. As a mom of boys whom struggle with these issues I have worked very hard and I have done my best to server their needs. By the grace of God, I have had a lot of support and have experienced much success with integrating their worlds....I have written a blog in order to share what I have learned. I dedicate it to them. qannie
